MUED 200 Course Description: The purpose of this course is to provide an overview of the role of education and music education in American society as well as the historical, cultural, and philosophical forces that have influenced public schooling in America.  This course incorporates rlevant topics related to current educational policy and practice and classroom observations at elementary and secondary levels of music instruction.
